The events that occurred over the last several days have truly shocked us, as well as the entire world, and we here at Leading Ladies have been thinking eversince about ways we can help. As a brand founded by two individuals of color, we are heartbroken by the brutal reality that is our society and we want to be a part of the change that can help us be better. In order to effect change, we need to come together as a community and work together. Here, we have compiled a list of things we can do to help- whether it is to donate, speak out, peacefully protest, or simply to educate on ourselves regarding this matter. If you are a Black wedding vendor, please reach out to us and we would like to feature you and your shop on our social media. And if you have any resources that you would like us to add to this list, let us know. Help us learn and together we will stand together.

EDUCATE OURSELVES
Donating isn’t the only thing you can do to show your support. Educate yourself on racial inequality, police brutality, and understand why these are causes worth supporting. This was not the first time something like this has happened and it certainly won’t be the last. But through educating ourselves, we can learn how to be better and do better.
SUPPORT BLACK-OWNED BUSINESSES
In the meantime, support your local Black-owned businesses and show them your love and support for them. You never know how these little gestures can go a long way. Now is a time to stand together rather than apart. Together we can change for the better.
